Question:
Purchasing a triple axle Load Rite, 13K GTW aluminum boat trailer. I have a reese system already, but the snap up brackets fit a trailer with short tongue/dual frame.one for each trailer frame rail The Load Rite has a long tongue, before splitting to two frame rails. Is there a snap up bracket that will handle both load bars at once, fitting over the single tongue? Towing with a 2008 3500 HD Chev/4x4/ crew cab/duramax/Allison. stock Class 5 hitch/factory.

On a boat trailer with a long tongue, you would need to use a pole tongue adapter, # RP58393. With this pole tongue adapter, you can only use a certain type of weight distribution system. For a 13,000 pound capacity trailer, I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex system, # RP66561. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
It is unlikely that you will be able to reuse some of the parts of your old system. I would need to know the part number of the system you currently have to be able to determine if any of the parts can be re-used to be less costly.
You will also want to contact the trailer manufacturer to make sure you can use a weight distribution system. Some aluminum frame trailers cannot be used with weight distribution. I have also included a link to our FAQ article on weight distribution and sway control for you.
