Recommended Installation Kit to Install Reese 5th Wheel # RP30051 on 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed

I have a 2012 dodge ram 2500 gas engine short box crew cab,i have a reese fith wheel hitch part # 30051 and i want to install in my new truck what kit do i need to install gas engine no overload springs

To install the Reese Fifth Wheel 16K Slider Hitch, part # RP30051, on your 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed, I would recommend the Reese Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP50140-58, that you have referenced. This is the custom installation kit that uses vehicle-specific brackets that will mount to existing holes in your vehicles frame. It will cut the installation time in half when compared to the universal installation kit.

The other choice would be the Reese Semi-Custom Base Rail and Installation Kit, part # RP30035-023. This is a semi-custom install kit which will install faster than the universal install kit, but will not have the vehicle-specific brackets like the custom install kit.
