Does MaxxTow MaxxHaul Truck Bed Ladder Rack Include Everything

Question:

I have a 2008 chevy silverado 1500 58inch bed. I do have a tonneau cover on my truck. I would make new brackets to sit flat on the bed. My question is, for this particular model is it one whole unit or do i have order to part units to make one? I have found some where you have to order to sperate parts to make one unit?

The MaxxTow MaxxHaul Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack MT70232 referenced in your question is the entire system and includes everything needed for installation. The rack itself, mounting brackets, and hardware are all included.

It sounds like you are aware of this but this particular ladder rack isn't compatible (out of the box) with a tonneau cover since the included brackets will take up space both on top of and inside the bed rails.

For a similarly priced ladder rack that shouldn't require any modifications to work with your existing tonneau (as long as it installs completely inside the bed rails) I recommend taking a look at the Adarac Pro Series # A4001014. This lightweight aluminum rack uses utility rails that mount to the top of the bed rails via stake pocket inserts, leaving the inside of the rails open for tonneau cover hardware. It has a 500 pound carrying capacity.
