According to the 2015 Chevy Silverado trailering guide your 5.3L V8 could be paired with the 3.08 axle ratio, 3.42 axle ratio, or 3.73 axle ratio. The only way to determine is to look inside your drivers door frame. If the listed GCWR is 14,000 or 15,000 then you have the 3.42. If it is 12,000 then you have the 3.08 axle ratio. If it is 16,700 then you have the 3.73 axle ratio.

If you take the GCWR (gross combined weight rating) and subtract the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) then you will be left with your max trailer weight capacity. Based on that number, you will be able to determine the largest trailer you can tow.

Using a weight distribution system can sometimes increase the capacity of the receiver hitch on your truck, but the vehicle manufacturers stated max towing capacity based on the numbers determined using the above system will always be the final determination of the max towing capacity. I've attached an article on weight distribution to assist further and have linked the page to all the options.

My personal favorite system is the Reese Strait-Line like # RP66084 because it actively works to prevent sway with the hot rolled spring bars and dual cam system. I've attached a couple videos to assist. This system is rated for total tongue weights between 600 and 1,200 lbs which is likely an ideal option for your truck and trailer capacity.

There should be another sticker but not to worry. Your VIN gave me the info needed. Your truck has the 3.42 axle ratio and your towing capacity based on your double cab and standard box is 9,500 lbs.
