Can Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner Replace 2-Speed Duo-Therm 57915.531 AC Unit

Question:

Contemplating purchasing this unit to replace Duo-Therm model 57915.531 that just died. I understand this is a in plug and play which is supposed to utilize the existing controls. My concern is that the ACDOM135 specs talk about a 3 speed fan whereas the existing Duo-Therm controller has only a high-low fan speed setting. Can my existing control system still be utilized as-is in this situation? Thanks in advance for your time and effort and any assistance you may offer.

I spoke with my contact at Advent who said that as long as you have a newer system the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup # ACDOM135 should work just fine even if you only have high-low speed settings for your fan.

If you don't have a newer system then you can replace your vent assembly and thermostat with a kit like part # ACRG15 which is for ducted units or # ACDB for non-ducted units.
