Are Goodyear Endurance 235/85R16 Tires Available with a Load Range G Rating

Updated 03/28/2019 | Published 03/26/2019

Question:

Do you make the G rated Tires for the larger 5th wheels. We had E tires on our 39 ft trailer that came from the factory. Our unit weight is just over 13,300 lbs empty. Pure JUNK tires. Went through two complete sets with blow outs as we are traveling on highway. Finally up graded to G rated tires and so far have not had a problem in three years, cross our fingers. We see that Montana know puts the G rated Tires on their New units out for 2017 and 2018. The G rated that we did go to are not manufactured in the USA. Any info you could give me would be appreciated. Thank You.

The highest rated Goodyear Endurance ST235/85R16 Radial Tire that comes on a white spoke wheel with part # 724860519A is available in a load rating E.

For a G rating in the ST235/85R15 size, you could go with Taskmaster Provider # TTWA16RGWSHD. The G rating for this tire is 4,400 lbs at 110 psi which means when you use 4 your weight capacity (just for the tires) is at 17,600 lbs. This should be over the GVWR of your trailer (which the tow vehicle will be taking some of the GVWR) so as long as you don't overload them, and you stay within the max speed rating of 81 mph you should be okay. This combo includes a 16 Vesper White Spoke Wheel - 8 on 6-1/2.

You could also consider a load range of F, which is between the two ranges. You could consider the Kenda Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 16" White Wheel - 8 on 6-1/2 - Load Range F
Item # AM35099. These tires are rated for 3,960 lbs at 95 psi.

If it were me, I would go with the Providers - Load Range G - # TTWA16RGWSHD.
