Hello, Do I need to purchase a new back bumber facia piece or does it fit underneath?

Draw-Tite hitch # 76268 is a confirmed fit on your 2019 Acura RDX and you do NOT need to buy any additional trim components or cut any existing parts on the vehicle.

If you refer to the linked photo taken from the written instructions (that are linked for you) you'll see how the hitch fits nicely under the rear bumper cover. I also included an article with hitch installation tips.

All needed hardware comes included with the hitch and the instructions tell you the specific tools you'll need to do the job. Install time for a first-time installer should be no more than an hour or so.

If you'll be towing a trailer that has lights or using a hitch cargo carrier with lights you will also need a 4-pole wiring harness to power those lights. The least-invasive installation comes with the no-splice ZCI kit # 119250KIT. This kit is designed to be universal so it can be used in just about any other vehicle should you ever have the need. Towing also requires a ball mount and hitch ball such as Curt # C45036.
