Will the Air Lift Airbags on a 2009 Ford F-150 Work With a 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

I have a 2009 F150 2wd 6.5 box. I have installed Airlift 57228 air bags. I am getting ready to purchase a Reese 16K 5th wheel hitch #RP30051 and a #RP50081-58 custom rails and brackets. My question......will the frame brackets clear the two earsinch that stick out on the air bags? Or, will I have to modify the bracket I would rather not do that? Thank you for your help, very much appreciated!

The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider part # RP30051 when paired with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50081-58 will fit your 2009 Ford F-150 with the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57228. The upper brackets for the airbags install underneath the frame rails and the side brackets for the 5th wheel hitch install on the outside of the frame rails so there will be no issues whatsoever. The indentation in the frame will allow the side brackets to sit over the ears on the upper airbag brackets so no modifications will be needed.

The only other thing you will need to complete your towing setup is an in-bed 7-way trailer wiring harness for which I recommend using the Draw-Tite 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness part # 20110. I have attached an install video of the above kit for you as well on a similar 2009 Ford F-150.
