Trailer Hitch Fit for a 1985 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler

Your site does not list the 1982-1986 Jeep Scrambler CJ8 normally the CJ7 parts fit the Scrambler. Will this tow hitch fit a Scrambler frame behind the rear OEM step bumper?

In order to determine if the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13412 will fit your 1985 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler you will need to measure the distance between the mounting holes in the rear crossmember. Unfortunately, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver has not yet been tested on your vehicle therefore measuring will be the only way to determine fit. If it is not a direct fit then your best option would be to modify slightly until the desired fit is achieved as they do not have any custom fit options confirmed for your Jeep. It appears as if the rear step bumper will need to be removed from the vehicle and left uninstalled in order for the trailer hitch to work.
