Parts Needed to Use EvenBrake System for Flat Towing a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee as a 2nd Vehicle

I have a second vehicle 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I want to tow at times. I have the EvenBrake 9700 system in the other vehicle. I wired the jeep so now I have separate real lights for break/turn/running lights that do not use any of the jeeps factory wiring wired direct to the motorhome plug. What I think I need is the EvenBrake breakaway switch. I should be able to move everything else over to the Jeep from the first vehicle. Might need to supply 12v power to the control unit in the jeep, not sure I that might also need a relay or fuse. your thoughts?

If you are planning on towing 2 different vehicles and using the Roadmaster 9700 Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9700 for both then I highly recommend installing the Second Vehicle Kit # RM-98800 on your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
This kit comes with everything needed for the breakaway switch, a diode, and a wire for your brake signal. The attached installation instructions highlight how to install this kit if you already have a bulb and wire kit like # RM-155 that you installed on your Jeep.
You could possibly salvage the different wiring and parts off of your other vehicle but that could get confusing and would be frustrating to do every time you swap vehicles to flat tow.
If you are needing to add a 12V power source from the battery in your Jeep for your EvenBrake then we have the Roadmaster Kit # RM-9332 that was made for this exact situation. Since you don't have to disconnect the battery in your Jeep you should be able to use your current 12V outlet but if you are wanting one dedicated to the EvenBrake then this is what you would use.
Please note that if your Grand Cherokee is equipped with an active power assist braking system, this product cannot be used. Please check your owner's manual or with your local Jeep dealership to determine if you do or don't have this.
