We have everything needed to set your 2018 Audi A4 up for towing a light trailer.

Starting with the trailer hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT24950. I like this hitch over the Curt alternative that is also available for your vehicle because unlike Curt, Draw-Tite does not require that you use an additional stabilizing strap to secure non-trailer loads like a bike rack or a cargo carrier. The Draw-Tite hitch also features a nice hidden design where only the receiver portion is visible (see attached image). It has a 2,000 pound towing weight capacity.

I have attached an installation video that you can also use for reference.

You will then need to install a wiring harness to power a trailer's basic signal lights. For this I recommend the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This is a unique kit that uses zero-contact interface sensors to identify the current flowing through each wire on your vehicle by simply clamping to it. This simply means that you can install the harness without actually cutting into the delicate factory wiring on your Audi. It will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power the trailer's lights.

I have attached the written installation instructions that you can check out as well.

To tow a trailer you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included a couple articles on trailer towing that you might find helpful.
