Question:
I was actually thinking of getting part 119177KIT instead of part 20036 so I can protect all of the circuits on my car, already have curt 4 pole flat connected to my car can I go and splice the 119177KIT into my existing harness and backup lights on my car so that all vehicle circuits are protected

The adapter you need is the part # 20036 which will convert your vehicle's 4-way to a 5-way. The 5th pin will get ran to the reverse light circuit of your vehicle.
