Can Husky Weight Distribution System be Used on Trailer Frame with 3 inch Dimension

The frame hangers of the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution System part # HT32216 that you referenced can fit trailer frames that are at a minimum of 2 inches wide and a max of 8 inches tall. If you have 3 inches in either height or width the brackets would easily fit. Since you didn't specify which measurement referred to 3 inches that's about as specific as I can be. For trailer frames that are I-beam we've recommended people have the frame boxed so if you had to modify the frame you'd be okay to do so as long as you had a qualified welder do the work.

Thank you, Jameson, I am guilty ! I should have told you the frame is an open C channel, 3 inches deep and 1 1/2 inches wide, the trailer being a Casita 17 foot Freedom, 2007 model. Currently, I am using an Andersen hitch, which I installed with no trouble, and which has given no problems since instal. I did not box the frame, make it thicker or deeper. Sorry for the vague information in my original question.

I see what you mean now. The frame brackets of the Husky would work fine on a C-channel frame. They'd tighten to it just like a boxed frame.
