Question:
Hello, The dealer told us to remove the battery disconnect key and have it off while in storage as well as remove the breakaway pin to activate locking the brakes while in storage. Was this correct or incorrect info? Should I drive back to the storage space and re the breakaway pinfor the brakes while it is in storage? Any info is appreciated..thank you

Expert Reply:
Since the breakaway kit will only activate the brakes of your trailer till the breakaway battery eventually dies (which will not take a long amount of time), I'd say the advice you recieved was not solid. Especially if you are using the breakaway kit as a wheel chock type setup to keep the trailer from moving.
You'd be better off using a wheel chock like the part # AM3620.
