Hi, I ordered a new set of steps but what is actually broken is the item that the stairs attach to but I do not know what it is called. It LJ a support box of some sort. Thanks

Sounds like the outriggers are what you need to replace. For that we have the # LC301704 which we recommend when people are installing new trailer steps.
