Question:

My current winch has the strap and a safety attachment to the strap that allows it to secure the watercraft if the winch releases. Does that come with the winch or do you have to buy a separate strap that has the two components? Thanks

The Fulton F2 Fully Enclosed Trailer Winch with Strap and Adjustable Handle - 1,600 lbs # FW16000101 does not come with the separate safety strap. As you can see in the attached video, the secondary chain in that case is present for that reason, but the winch does not come with that strap or chain. I recommend the BoatBuckle Kwik-Lok Bow Tie-Down Strap with Loop End - 1" x 3' - 400 lbs # IMF12811 for that application.
