Question:
how does the evenbrake know when to apply breaks?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster Even Brake part # RM-9400 uses two things to know when to start applying the brakes and how much braking power to apply. The ICX box of this kit attaches to the brake light switch of the towed vehicle which tells the Even Brake that it's time to start looking for braking action when the stoplights come on and then the inertia sensor of the unit senses how hard you are applying the brakes and puts a proportional amount of braking on the towed vehicle.
