Some roof rack options are shorter but typically not by much.
For example, the roof rack system that you referenced, parts # DK427, # RRRLKVA, and # RRVA150B-2, for a 2015 Ford F-150 will sit on top of the 2500 series legs but if you look at a similar roof rack for the same vehicle, part # RR29XR you will notice that the bars are installed inside the legs. This will help with clearance but when I have spoken with our manufacturers in the past they say that it isn't much.
