Question:
Tailgate on my new Tacoma hits top of jack when lowered. Looking for a jack with standard 3-hole base that is no more than 8 inches high when attached to A-frame. Can you supply?

Expert Reply:
The shortest A-frame jack we have available is the Bulldog Round # BD155032, which measures just a tad over 10 inches from the mounting bracket to the top of the jack. We do not have an A-frame jack that measures 8 or fewer inches from the bracket to the top of the unit.
Another possible solution to avoid interference between your Tacoma's tailgate and jack is to simply use a longer ball mount to move the trailer further back from the truck when hooked up. We have a nice selection of longer ball mounts available, such as the 12-5/8 inch Curt # D-26 or the even longer Brophy # EA40, which measures 14-5/8 inches.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on these two ball mounts that you can check out, along with a link that will take you directly to our available selection of ball mounts that you can look through.
