I need to purchase a 1.25 hitch for my road bike rack. I have a 2018 Mercedes SLC43 AMG. Please advise which hitch will be sufficient. Thank you.

There may be a way for you to carry your bikes on your 2018 Mercedes Benz SLC43 AMG, but there are no hitches that fit this vehicle. Instead, your best option is a trunk-mounted rack, and the one I recommend checking out is the Saris Guardian 2 Bike Carrier # SAR93FR. The reason I said there "may" be a way for you to carry your bikes is because like all trunk-mounted racks the Guardian has a 35 lb per bike weight capacity and it is possible your bikes may weigh more.

Additionally, please note that when using any hanging rack like the Saris Guardian # SAR93FR you'll need bike frame adapter bar # 64005 if your bike is dual-suspension, has a step-through frame or you want to carry a small children's bike. The bar will give those bikes a horizontal mounting point so they can be carried by the rack.
