Question:

How do I wire the Westin Lighted Running Boards Item #27-0005 on my 2018 Toyota SR5 4Runner? The boards are mounted and I have the wiring tied-up for now, but I cannot find a wire to splice into. I have removed the interior kick panel and exposed interior wiring. I would like to splice into the door light.

There are no vehicle-specific wiring instructions for installing the Westin Molded, Lighted Running Boards # 27-0005. Westin recommends having a professional do the wiring because unless you know the specific wiring of your 2018 Toyota 4Runner or if you have a positive or negative switching courtesy system you will be unable to safely wire it yourself. Wiring these lights will basically require you have first-hand knowledge of the electrical system in a 2018 4Runner and an accurate electrical diagram. Should you not have either then it is important to have the wiring done professionally.
