Question:
The pictures and video show two black wires, Im hoping this means the fixture will accept two power leads. My 2005 Jayco Greyhawk RV has a very similar looking fixture just above the driver and passengers doors that serves as both the dome light it lights up when the doors open and a map light - it lights with the push of the on/off switch. Please let me know if this fixture performs similarly.

You are correct, there are two black 12 volt power wires on the Galaxy Single Dome Light Black Base and Globe part # 24004-7171. One of the black wires will be used to illuminate the light when the door opens and the other black wire will be used as your map light which is operated with the included on/off switch. The only other wire you need to connect is the white wire which will be for the ground.
There is a trim ring available for this light which will make for a clean look once installed and can be obtained using part # 24004-TR71. We also have butt connectors like part # DW05744-5 which you will need to join the wires.
