What modifications do I have to do to my air dam on my 2011 Ford Ranger 4x4 to mount a BX 2195 tow plate?

I checked the install instructions for the Blue Ox Base Plate kit part # BX2195 and they do not mention that the air dam needs to be trimmed at all. They state that it needs to come off temporarily during the install process but does not need to be trimmed.
