For your 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we have the Curt Front Hitch part # C31033 which is a confirmed fit and has a 350 lb vertical load capacity. If the weight of your scooter and carrier is less than that this would work. But you'd have to consider the fact you are most likely going to block air flow to the radiator and possibly your headlights.

For a carrier then we have the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier part # e98873 which would work well. For tie downs we then have the part # EM05710.

Thanks so much this is very helpful. I didn't see on the specs for the carrier you recommended how much it weighs. Am I overlooking that detail or is that something can provide me?
