Question:
Looking at the 2 Class 3 trailer hitches for a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon. The spare tire sidewall is roughly 12inch from the hitch mounting frame. I currently have a Kuat Transfer 2 hitch mount rack and am trying to decide on a proper hitch. Would love to be able to run without a hitch extension. Do you know if this is possible with either the Curt or Draw-Tite? I like that the Curt tucks into the bumper more, but would go with the Draw-Tite if the function would be better. Thank you for any assistance,

We do not have the distances from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the spare tire for either the Draw-Tite # DT78MR or Curt # C13392 hitches on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL, unfortunately.
That said, the accompanying photo does show the Curt hitch on a '18 Wrangler JL, and it sticks out to about the edge of the bumper; the Draw-Tite has some photos in the linked directions that make it look like it also sticks out to at least the edge of the bumper.
Another thing to consider is that your Kuat Transfer 2 is 7-1/2" to the closest part of the carrier when folded down so if you measure the length from the edge of your bumper to the edge of your spare tire, that would at least give you an idea of the amount of space you have to work with; also keep in mind that when folded up the Transfer 2 is 5" to the nearest point.
