Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform Rack and Folding Ladder for 2018 Ford Expedition

There is a way to add a Rhino Rack Platform to your 2018 Ford Expedition but there is not one that attaches directly to your vehicle. If your Expedition has factory installed rails that run front to back you can add a roof rack, the Rhino-Rack Vortex StealthBar # JB0190.

From there you can add the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform # RR42115BF which is a universal mount that will attach to your Expedition's roof rack. I've attached a link to a video review of the universal mount Pioneer for you to check out.

My cross bars are fixed so I can't move them forward or backwards. Will this be an issue with the platform. I'm not sure if the platform has a specific connect point.

The Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform # RR42115BF has universal mounting brackets that you can adjust the position of so the fact that you cannot move the rack on your 2018 Ford Expedition will not be an issue.

Is it customary to have the platform between the roof rails? I might get the ladder accessory RRRAFL and I don't want to hit the side of my car. Which platform would you recommend if I go with the ladder. I also want a LED light bar for my front bumper underneath the grille. You offer anything like this?

The Folding Ladder for Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Racks # RRRAFL is only designed to work with Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platforms such as # RR42115BF. The platform is 47" wide and the ladder attaches to brackets which stick out about an inch, so if you measure the width of your crossbars this will tell you if you may be too close and hit your Expedition. If there is not enough room and you are looking for a way to safely mount gear on the Rhino Rack Platform I recommend checking out the Wheel Step # PT68ZR. This unique accessory simply mounts to one of your Expedition's wheels and will help give you access to your vehicle's roof.
