Recommended Wiring Harness and Tail Gate Strip for 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat with Max Tow Package

Hi, I have 2018 F-150 Lariat with max tow package. The reason I am planning to get Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles Item # HM56009 is to connect a tailgate LED strip that I cannot connect to the existing 4 pin flat connector due to the truck will disable rear sensors, BLIS... I did not find a wiring diagram for HM56009. Can you please provide it to show exact location where is the harness connecting to the truck wiring. Thanks!

The Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56009 is a fit for your 2018 Ford F-150 but is used for the purpose of sending power from a motorhome to your tail lights when it is towed. That is not the correct fit for what you are seeking to accomplish.
To give you the ability to utilize the LED strip at your tailgate I recommend the Reese # 74682 if you have the factory 7 way for a clean connection, but it sounds like the computer may still disable your sensors. The only work around I can think of is to use the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT to capture the signals without drawing power from the wires. This unit draws power from the battery to make that possible and uses zero contact interface sensors.
Then for the lighting, I recommend the Universal LED Tailgate Fire Strip Brake, Tail and Turn Lights - 48" or 60" # TLB-001 or the Rampage SuperBrite LED Tailgate Light Bar - Stop, Tail, Turn - 4-Pole Flat - 60" Long # RA960134 which is easier to install with automotive-grade 3M tape.
