Pairing Prodigy Wireless Handheld Remote to Brake Controller

Your page: https://www.etrailer.com/question-23701.html At step 6, cannot set to 0.0 or get beyond that step. Remote continues to show n.c. I switched towing vehicles since last year, when the remote was working fine. But that shouldnt make any difference, should it?

When pairing the Prodigy RF Wireless Brake Controller # TK94FR we have heard of this issue a few times and it doesn't have to do with the vehicle at all.
I reached out to my tech contact at the manufacturer and he said that they are rewriting the instructions because it is confusing and the double zero won't appear until it is paired, which doesn't happen when it is new or even sometimes when it is transferred to another vehicle. So, here is a step by step to get you going based on the tech's advice.
Connect your trailer and then roll the blue dial on the right side of your remote all the way down (toward the cord). Next, push and hold both the blue button and gray override button simultaneously and watch the count down from P5 to PA. Then release the two buttons and step on the brake pedal and hold until the 00 appears.
