Recommended Steering Stabilizer for 1998 Newmar Kountry Star Diesel Puller on Freightliner Chassis
Updated 02/27/2018 | Published 02/26/2018 >
Question:
I would like a steering stabilizer for our 1998 Newmar Kountry Star. It is a diesel puller w/leaf springs and an I-beam axel. The chassis is Freightliner custom MC. If there is such a part would you let me know? Thanks

I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster and because your 1998 Newmar Kountry Star is a diesel puller, you most likely have the Freightliner FL chassis. For a steering stabilizer you will want the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class A Motor Homes # RM-RBK8-RSSA.
This will attach to the steering mechanism on one end and to the chassis on the other. It will help you maintain control of your motorhome in the event of crosswinds, road edging, rut tracking, or even a tire blowout. It will use a tempered steel spring to minimize wander and correct oversteering. I've attached the installation details to assist.
