Question:
I am changing trailers for my Harley, I currently have a 6 pin square on my bike. The trailer I am getting lists the connector as a 5 pin round. Is there an adapter available or what will it take to convert? Thanks for your help.

If the 6-pin square connector is the factory connector on your Harley I would recommend keeping the 6-pin and using the Hopkins 6-Pole Square Trailer Wiring Connector Kit, part # 37995 you have referenced and plug the trailer end connector in the kit into your 6-pin square on your Harley. Then, wire the pigtail wires on the other end of the trailer end connector to the Pollak 5-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket, part # PK11502. You will need to use a circuit tester like the Quickee Tester, part # PTW2993 to test the wires for function to make sure you wire the connectors correctly.
This will give you an adapter that you can use to plug into your new trailer with the 5-pin round connector. It will also allow you to keep the 6-pin square on your Harley for future use with other 6-pin square connectors.
The other option would be to use the same Hopkins kit # 37995 and remove the 5-pin round from your trailer and install the 6-pin square trailer end connector on your trailer. Again, you will need to test the wires for function with the circuit tester to make sure you wire the connectors correctly.
