Replacing the Jenson VR185 with JWM60A

Are the connections for both radios the same or will I have to buy an adapter?

I reached out to the manufacturer regarding your question. Their response goes as follows. The VR185 was an in dash radio and the JWM60A is a wall mount radio for the living space of the RV. It is very big and would not fit where the VR185 is.

To replace the VR185 you would still need to do some modification to the hole as the VR185 was produced in a time where the 1.8 DIN size was in demand, since then we see only demand for single DIN and double DIN radios. The replacement unit will be taller, but not by too much.

I would advise the Jensen Multimedia Navigation System # JRV9000R (R meaning Retail - it comes with the blunt cut harness) as it's our currently produced in dash radio. The harness for Jensen units changed many, many models ago so you would need to wire this one in. Note that there is not an adapter for this aged unit to the modern units.
