Question:
Will these chocks work to secure a riding or push lawn mower in the back of a pick up truck? If not, what is a better choice short of using straps?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The only chocks that would do a decent job of keeping a mower in place in a truck bed would be ones that are permanently mounted to the truck; preferably to the frame and not just through the bed. FloTool Wheel Chocks # FT11930MI could be permanently mounted by running some screws down through the holes that are in the chocks but then you have to rely on the strength of the screws to hold the weight of the mower.
For your application straps should be the primary means of restraint while using chocks as a failsafe. Adding some tie down anchors such as # EX1932 will make securing items in the bed easier. Combine those with some retractable ratchet straps such as # 34414 and it takes a lot of the work out of securing your cargo.
