Question:
I have a 2018 Audi Q5 and I interested in getting the trailer hitch for it. Will installing the trailer hitch interfear with the kick to open luggage compartment operation? I want to install the the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch Item # C13331 Thanks

Curt hitch # C13331 and Draw-Tite hitch # 76183 are both 2-inch Class III hitches confirmed to fit your 2018 Audi Q5. These two models install in the same manner and they share identical capacities of 750-lbs tongue weight and 5000-lbs total trailer weight. Both are shown on the linked page. Note that your car's weight ratings, if lower than the hitch ratings, still apply and determine overall capacity.
On most vehicles with a rear lift gate sensor installation of any hitch tends to interfere with at least one of those sensors. Usually this is just the center one and all that means is you have to swing your foot over to one of the side-located sensors to activate the lift gate feature. I confirmed this with my contact at Curt.
If you compare the appearance of these two hitches you'll notice they are pretty much identical in size and shape, which is to be expected since they install at the same mounting points on the car.
Neither hitch will be more or less likely to cause interference with the center-positioned sensor.
I linked the written instructions as well as an install video to show you the process on a 2018 Q5.
