Will Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Kwik-Slide Tube Slider Work Well on 2017 Ford F-250
Published 01/29/2018 >
Question:
I have a 2017 f250 off road package is there a special kit for the 5th wheel? It seems like the standard kit typically would mount where off road brackets are currently sitting

If your 2017 Ford F-250 has the 6-3/4 foot bed, the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider # RP30051 referenced in your question will work great with the 15,000 pound gross weight of your trailer. This is a really nice sliding hitch that will provide 10 inches of front to back travel for making tight turns, along with a 2-jaw locking system for a secure connection with the trailer king pin. It features a 4-Way pivoting head that will ease hookup on unlevel ground and an adjustable height from 15 to 18 inches.
If you do not have them already, you will also need fifth wheel base rails for your truck bed. For this, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP50074-58. These industry standard, above-bed base rails include custom brackets that will use existing holes in your Ford F-250's frame. This will help to drastically reduce installation time and drilling.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this system along with the written installation instructions that you can also take a look at.
