Installing the Curt Class II Receiver, part # C12068 on your 2000 Cadillac Eldorado would require no cutting, trimming or other modification in the rear bumper cover. According to the installation instructions, there will be a tab on the trunk pan that will need to be bent out of the way to prevent interference with the hitch. This modification will not be visible from the rear of the vehicle.
