I have a class b Pleasureway Lexor. It is on a 2017 Dodge Ram Promaster 3500 chassis. I am looking to get a hitch carrier for a Yahmaha Zuma scooter- 200 lbs. some carriers state not for a RV- but this is on a van chassis. Anything in addition to the Ultrafab carrier? Your suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

You will not need to use an RV approved carrier on your 2017 Pleasure-Way ProMaster Lexor. The RV approved carriers are needed for larger RV's in which the distance from the rear axle to the trailer hitch is much longer than what is on your van. The increased spread from the axle and trailer hitch creates added stress on the carrier. Carriers that are RV approved are suited for this added stress.
In order to haul your Yamaha Zuma, I recommend using the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier part # e98873. The etrailer carrier has ramps for easy loading/unloading and integrated tie-down loops. In order to secure your scooter to the carrier, I recommend using the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Straps w/ Web Clamps part # EM31353. The carrier also has two safety reflectors and comes with an anti-rattle security clamp.
The tongue weight capacity of the factory hitch on your Ram ProMaster 3500 should be more than capable of handing the 253 lbs of tongue weight form the scooter and carrier.
