Question:
Separating Turn Signals from Brake Lights for Third Brake Light on a tailgate like. I currently have a tail gate light for brake and turn signals. The turns signals always turn on when on the brake. could this adapter stop spilt the signal if the LED is more than one and is instead around 24 total?

For your LED third brake light, I recommend using the Curt Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196. This works well with LED lights and will allow you to separate out the brake light signal so that the third brake light only illuminates when the brakes are applied.
On the input side, the truck's left turn and brake circuit get spliced into the green wire, the right turn and brake circuit go to the yellow wire, and the white wire is for ground. On the output side, the red wire goes to the third brake light and the green and yellow wires can simply be capped off because they are not needed.
I have included an image that might help as well.
