3rd TracRac Bar for a 2014 Ford Transit Connect Rooftop System

Question:
Hello, Im looking to use a Transit Connect for both larger loads ladders, building materials and recreational loads cargo box, bikes, etc, can a third crossbar be installed to accommodate standard bike and cargo box spacing? Is it possible to purchase single bars or would I need to purchase a 2nd set of the TracVan ES 29611 2014 Ford Transit. Has anyone used this set-up? It sounds like wind noise is not usually an issue with this system but Im curious if having additional bars would affect wind noise. Thank you.

A third crossbar can be added to the 2014 Ford Transit Connect, but you will need to purchase a second full 2 bar kit, part # TH29611XT. This will install one bar into the middle set of holes on the roof of your 2014 Ford Transit Connect.
I haven't had any customers reporting use of this system, but I anticipate that you'll get a little more wind noise from the third bar and any accessories you add.
Remember that you'll need to purchase accessories and adapters for a TracRac bar, as the bars are overall bigger and have deeper channels than standard Thule bars.
