Question:

The instructions are for a 2015 tlx but the hitch says it fits the 2018. All of the 2018s are different than the 2015-2017, and I have the aspec version. I want to get a hitch to carry my bike, but don’t see where anyone has put one on a 2018 yet or a 2018 aspec. They now have visible exhaust and the bumper cover seems to go lower. If you don’t have this one yet I am happy to do measurements and trial with you.

The linked instructions for the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24942 are for 2015 - Current 2018 Acura TLX models. Although the instructions show the 2015 TLX, this has been confirmed by Draw-Tite to fit your 2018 Acura TLX but we have not personally been able to shoot an installation video of it as of yet.

Keep in mind that this is a Class I hitch receiver with a 1-1/4" receiver opening. This Draw-Tite Class I hitch has a weld stop inside the receiver tube which inhibits a lot of bike racks from being used so if you already have a bike rack you will want to make sure that your bike rack is rated for Class I hitches.

If it isn't or if you do not already have a bike rack then I highly recommend going with the Kuat Beta # B202-114 because it has a lightweight aluminum construction (only weighs 12.6 lbs) which makes it very easy to install and provides excellent corrosion resistance. The arms are spaced 8" apart which also greatly reduces the need for an adapter bar like # UB01 to keep your bike(s) level. To add locks to this rack you need parts # HL1 and # e98891.
