The Superwinch LT3000 ATV Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 3,000 lbs # SW1130220 has duty cycle the same as other Superwinch electric winches regardless of load strength according to my contact at Superwinch. It is a cycle of 5 minutes on at full pull and then rest for 30 minutes. If you are pulling less than that, it will run longer and also cool down faster. He also said if you can put your hand on the motor and it is warm but not uncomfortable to the touch you can keep going. If the motor is uncomfortably hot to the touch, then you need to stop and let it cool down.
