Cannot find the grey factory plug in for the brake controller behind the instrument panel near the top of the park brake.

From what I was able to find, if your 2011 Honda Ridgeline has a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, then the harness will be located underneath and to the left of the steering column taped to another wiring harness near the brake pedal.
If your Ridgeline did not come with a factory installed 7-Way then you will need to hardwire the brake controller by first installing a 4-Way, if needed, # 118400, and then a 4 and 7-Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7.
