Question:

I have a jeep JKU with Garvin Adventure Roof Rack. This has tubes that are about 1-3/4inch diameter. I am trying to find a set of kayak saddles. You have a number of promising models but none of the writeups or installation manuals state how large of a *round* tube they can clamp on to. Do you have any advice?

I spoke to my contact at Rhino-Rack and they informed me that the Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier part # RR570 will fit the 1-3/4" diameter round crossbars on your Jeep if you use the Heavy-Duty Crossbar Adapter Kit for Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carriers and Fairings part # HD-FK1.

The above kit comes with tie down straps but I also recommend using the Rhino-Rack Anchor Strap part # RRRBAS-2 to further secure the bow/stern of the kayak to the vehicle.
