I have a thunderstruck bumper mounted on my truck and want a front receiver for use with a winch in an emergency situation. will the front recievers be strong enough for this situation

The only front mount trailer hitch receiver we have for your 2017 Ram 2500 is the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65063. Unfortunately, Draw-Tite only tests their front mounted trailer hitch receivers with stock bumpers and cannot confirm if it will work with the Thunderstruck bumper you currently have.
With that being said, the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver has a line pull rating of 9,000 lbs therefore, as long you are not exceeding this capacity you should have no problems with this hitch. In order to mount a winch to this trailer hitch receiver you will want to use a hitch mounted winch tray like the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate # BDW20011.
