How does the wiring harness attachment point on the driver side work?

To utilize the wiring bracket on trailer hitch # 76021 for your 2017 Jeep Renegade you will need mounting bracket # 18144. The hardware is included to mount it. Then you can have the 4-Way mounted in the bracket.
The trailer wiring harnesses for the 2017 Jeep Renegade, # 118651 and # C56274, both plug in line with the tail light wiring on the vehicle. They will install the same way as in the 2016 model in the video I have linked. They will work with the above mentioned mounting bracket.
In the video the trailer wiring harness is ran out of the hatch. You can run it to the outside of the vehicle by using a grommet already in the bottom most part of the cargo area floor or, if there isn't one, making your own. Be sure to seal up the hole/grommet with silicone after running the wiring through! Then you would just route the 4-Way to the hitch and mount it in the bracket.
