The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24808 is a confirmed fit for 2004 through 2009 Toyota Prius models. There is not a 2 inch option for any of these vehicles because they aren't rated for towing or carrying the capacity of a 2 inch receiver. The manufacturers are attempting to protect users from harming their vehicle by only offering the capacities that are appropriate in the smaller size hitch receiver opening. You can use a hitch adapter # HTAD to expand to a 2 inch opening, but your hitch tongue weight rating will be reduced by 50% when using an adapter like this.
For this trailer hitch receiver, I recommend the ball mount # 3593 along with a hitch ball like # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch option.
For your trailer hitch wiring or accessory wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118505. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the wire with the fuse holder to your car battery and connect it to the positive terminal. Then insert the provided fuse into the in-line fuse holder. I've attached an article as well as a video to assist.
