Question:
I recently purchased a Draw-Tite hitch for my 2002 Honda Civic. When using my bike rack I found out it wouldn't push in far enough to install the threaded bolt. Any ideas on how to resolve my dilemma? I measured my threaded hole in the bike rack mount. It is 2 inches back from the tip.

All of the trailer hitch receivers we have listed for your 2002 Honda Civic are Class I and must be used with Class I accessories. The Draw-Tite Class I trailer hitch receivers have a weld stop located inside the receiver tube to prevent the use of non Class I accessories. This is likely why your bike rack will not slide all the way into the receiver tube.
For a bike rack that will work with the Class I trailer hitch receiver on your vehicle, I recommend using the Swagman Titan 2-Bike Rack for 1-1/4" or 2" part # S63400. I recommend this bike rack as it is an extremely cost effective hitch bike rack that has a tilting feature to allow for access to the rear cargo area of your vehicle.
If you wish to carry more than 2 bikes you would want to use the trunk-mounted SportRack 3 Bike Carrier part # SR3152 as the maximum number of bikes that can be carried with a Class I hitch receiver is two. You will have to remove this bike rack to gain access to the rear cargo area.
I have attached a review video of these bike racks for you.
