Using a lift does make installation much easier, but it is not necessary when installing the Draw-Tite Hitch # 76170 on your 2018 Honda Odyssey.
Although it is not required, I recommend using a floor jack when installing this hitch.
Using a floor jack and jack stands, like # PTW1605, will allow you to raise the vehicle up off the ground to provide more clearance to install the trailer hitch. Be sure you follow all instructions and safety procedures when using a jack and jack stands.
If you decide not to use a jack, it may be more difficult to install, but you should be able to install the hitch.
