Question:
There is a Control Key but there is no lock inside the Anti Rattle Knob. My problem is I was given the Yakima bike rack after it was damaged in an auto accident. Thus the reason I ordered the replacement assembly. I do not have the operating key for the damaged tongue nor will the Control Key I received with the replacement assembly remove the lock core from the damaged tongue. I think what I need is a new lock core and operating key to fit the replacement assembly I ordered from you guys. Do you sell an appropriate lock key and operating key?

The difference between the two parts are the Yakima racks they accommodate and the parts they include. Replacement # 8890343 is designed for use with Yakima HighLite bike racks, whereas replacement # 8890340 is designed for use with Yakima DoubleDown Ace bike racks. Each comes with the shank adapter, anti-rattle knob and safety lanyard, though # 8890340 also comes with a control key, 8 mm screw, wrench and pull pin.
