Question:

1any choice of class III or else class I hidden receiver hitches for 2008 Accent sedan? 2how much ground clearance would I give up for each of these?

For your 2008 Hyundai Accent sedan, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4"
Item # C11094. It is a Class I hitch as this is the only Class available for your vehicle, and has the desirable concealed cross tube. When using this hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier, it requires the use of a stabilizer strap like the part # 18050.

We don't have an exact ground clearance figure for the hitch since we have not been able to install it on an Accent. However, since it fits right under the rear bumper, you could get a good estimate by subtracting about 2 inches from the current bumper ground clearance.
