Cargo Carrier Compatibility with SUV Tent

Hello, I am a widow with a 2013 Honda CR-V. I plan to travel to view the eclipse, traveling with my daughter. I think I need the trailer hitch shelf but I also want the tent that attaches to the rear of the vehicle. How do you think this 2 products would work together?

If you're referring to the use of a cargo carrier, the tent will provide enough room to use both products together. Of course, the cargo carrier will protrude into the tent area.
For a tent, I recommend the Rightline Gear SUV Tent with Rainfly - Waterproof - Sleeps 4, Item # RL110907, which is confirmed to fit your Honda CR-V. The tent also disconnects from your vehicle to be used separately, so you wouldn't have to leave it connected to your vehicle with the cargo carrier.
For a cargo carrier, I recommend the 20x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs, Item # C18151. This is a folding carrier that might work better for your purposes than a traditional carrier, as it can be folded against the vehicle when not in use. You'll also need the pin and clip # PC3 for installation. Or, for more security, you could use a lock such as # BD580402 in place of the standard pin and clip. This will secure your cargo carrier and help prevent theft.
